The Frontend Platform team builds tools and libraries that make it easy for Vimeo engineers to write high quality frontend code that delivers an exceptional experience for our users.

What you’ll do:

• Work on the next generation of Vimeo’s design system, building composable, accessible React components
• Write clean, well-tested, and performant library and product code
• Build and maintain existing tools written in JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Bash and Rust
• Find common UI patterns and consolidate them into reusable, scalable components
• Grow technically and professionally in a collaborative and inclusive environment with opportunities to learn and share with others

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

• A solid understanding of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, semantic HTML, and the DOM
• Strong knowledge of React conventions and best practices
• Familiarity with Next.js or a similar React framework
• Experience with common CSS tooling like CSS-in-JS and SCSS
• Able to write simple, maintainable and thorough unit tests using Jest
• Experience working with component libraries, design systems and design tools like Figma and Storybook
• An understanding of basic performance optimization for web applications
• A strong eye for product design with a focus on interactivity, usability and accessibility
• Knowledge of WCAG and WAI-ARIA accessibility standards

Targeted Base Salary Range:  $105,300 to $160,500

The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
