Working in the Delivery team within ZCL’s  newly formed Strategy and Incubation function , which manages the installation phase of our customer journey for Solar PV and battery. The team specializes in contractor management and ensures that works take place to the highest standards of health & safety and quality, whilst providing a fantastic customer experience.

As a Project Manager on this team, you will be helping keep our high standards by working closely with those contractors installing in our customer’s properties. 

This role in a nutshell:

Working within the ZCL Delivery team and reporting into the Regional Solar Manager, the role will provide oversight of external contractors delivering solar and battery storage installations direct to customers. This will be through a combination of home working, office-based meetings and on-site assessments.

You will work alongside the companies carrying out the installations to coach them towards providing and maintaining the highest levels of standards for our customers, and helping them to grow and improve their own businesses. By using the various reporting functions available, you will be able to monitor the performance of each installer and use this information to continually manage their output. 

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Owning the management of multiple contractors delivering Solar PV and storage installations across a wide geographical area and building lasting relationships that ensure you get the best out of them and can have the hard conversations, when needed
  • Upholding the highest levels of installation quality by demonstrating technical knowledge of Solar PV and battery installations under the relevant MCS standards
  • Keeping the safety of everyone on and around our sites at the forefront of what we do
  • Playing your part in delivering brilliant customer experiences throughout the delivery phase of their journey, by managing contractors to their contractual SLAs
  • Facilitating seamless customer journeys by keeping all project paperwork updated and managing timescales

You’ll be a successful Solar Project Installation Manager at OVO if you have…

  • Project Management experience, in particular in the delivery of MCS compliant measures direct to customers.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Solar and Battery installations, preferably including training such as LCL or BPEC.
  • The ability to multitask and manage workload on a priority/ importance scale.
  • An adaptable approach to finding the best solution.
  • An ability to have both an eye for detail and an overview of the bigger picture.
  • A commitment to providing the highest levels of safety and quality.
  • High-level understanding of your team’s area(s) of responsibility and how they contribute towards the group’s goals.
  • Commercial understanding will also be advantageous

We’ll pay you between £40,000 and £45,000 per annum, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
