The Global Senior Director of Enterprise Growth will lead a team of business business and technical strategists who will be embedded within Pure Storage’s Enterprise Sales Organization to land enterprise growth initiatives and create a tight feedback loop between corporate teams and the field organization. You will be a trusted advisor to Global and Theater field leadership including the Globals, Strategics, Enterprise, and Federal businesses. You will ensure the field is getting the resources they need in order to be successful in meeting enterprise growth targets. You will work with the sales leadership to build business plans and help drive the execution of those plans across marketing, partner, and HQ organizations. You will also drive the enablement of enterprise technical and sales communities along with providing direct support as a representative of the HQ organization to the most strategic enterprise accounts globally.  Your team will include business and technical strategists focused on the individual theaters responsible for building and executing the growth plan in their given markets. 

This is a highly visible, strategic role that will work across the entire Pure field enterprise organization and will be a trusted advisor to field sales and pre-sales leadership, acting as their bridge to the HQ business unit. The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator and collaborator with top tier execution skills. A demonstrated history of working successfully cross-functionally, influencing across all levels of an organization is a must.

SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

  • Lead a cross-functional team across marketing, sales, channels and finance/operations to achieve the growth objectives of the enterprise business
  • Be accountable for successful execution of the global enterprise business plan and achievement of sales targets
  • Deeply understand the enterprise pipeline/business performance and be able to drive course correction where necessary
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to land product and sales play enablement content and delivery to Pure’s direct sales and indirect channel sales teams
  • Collaborate with the Field Technical Organization, but specifically the FCTO, SE leadership, Global Solutions and Strategy (Principal Technologists) and leverage the SE ‘Field Sensing’ process to capture product and market shifts into the BU PM organization.
  • In partnership with the Principle Sales Engineers, communicate regional customer requirements and provide input to the corporate Business Unit on product enhancements and future product + business model direction
  • Assist with the development of regional market/competitive intelligence, acting as our thought leader and expert
  • Actively participate in Pure’s local user community and drive end user community engagement in partnership with sales and marketing teams
  • Evangelize Pure’s message and core differentiation at conferences, analyst briefings, and customer events

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • 15+ years Business Development, Product Management, Sales Engineering and/or Product Marketing experience
  • Experience managing a team of senior individuals
  • Experience influencing growth initiatives without having direct oversight of core sales teams
  • Experience working globally
  • Experience in SaaS, Cloud, or core infrastructure technologies
  • High bias for action and execution with strong drive to achieve
  • Direct experience driving successful theater wide field marketing and sales programs is highly desired
  • Possess a blend of business and technical savvy that includes the ability to build and drive impact with teams across multiple disciplines, especially field teams
  • Cross-functional team management and organizational skills, influence without authority, including senior management
  • Demonstrated track record of building and executing successful go-to-market programs and enablement
  • Analytical and data-driven
  • Possesses excellent written/verbal communication; can communicate concisely and persuasively

The annual base salary range is: $268,000 – $403,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
