Pure Storage is looking for a Senior Learning Consultant who is customer-obsessed and driven to innovate as we build and transform how we educate and develop employees, customers, and partners. The right candidate is creative, not afraid to roll-up sleeves, and has demonstrated a drive to solve real customer problems and revolutionize the way people build skills and capabilities. This individual will need to be self-motivated, highly organized, and have what it takes to challenge status-quo. With this career opportunity, you will leverage your skills and experiences in learning and development to help build and grow education solutions that deliver incredible results. This individual contributor role will report into the Performance, Education, Knowledge Team as part of the global Customer Experience organization comprising Technical Services, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Portfolio. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Conducts effective task/needs analysis to assess business needs, performance, and root cause
  • Partner with divisional stakeholders and L&D team members in a proactive and consultative manner to continuously align learning solutions with development needs 
  • Maintains ongoing relationship with key stakeholders, monitoring solution adoption and impact while bringing back to team what continuous improvement is required
  • Prepares pragmatic and cost effective recommendations taking into consideration who (target audience), how (classroom/eLearning), when (business critical) and where (required travel) education and knowledge is delivered
  • Design and develop learning solutions and programs (for a technical company) applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design to create learning content that best fits the needs of the learner (includes self-paced, classroom, virtual instructor-led training and blended learning content)
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of instructional design process methodology, including analysis of the audience, job task, as well as ability to complete design documents, storyboards, content development and assessment strategies
  • Designs and develops learning solutions and programs applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design to create content that best fits the needs of the learner (includes online, classroom, virtual instructor-led training and blended learning content)
  • Develop exercises, tutorials, job aids, assessments, and other methods of learning including social or connected learning strategies, and multimedia based assets
  • Provides project and change management for various training initiatives
  • Performs administration and coordination of learning solutions including curating content, testing, publishing, and communications
  • Expand and drive Pure PEAK sales and awareness to field, partners, and customers on what our services are and how it brings value 
  • Identifies necessary metrics to measure impact of learning and development initiatives
  • Monitors and reports the effectiveness of learning programs and solutions
  • Effectively communicates with team members, business partners, and key stakeholders on any learning initiative and recommendation

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in learning & development organization
  • Understanding and evidence of success applying adult learning methodologies and techniques.
  • Extreme learning agility with ability to quickly ramp and have necessary business acumen to apply to the role
  • Previous experience working in a technical support and/or customer support organization is a strong plus
  • Ability to work independently, but also able to collaborate with others with a positive attitude
  • Experience leading complex programs of work with multiple stakeholders/partners using very strong program and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with focus on ability to have consultative conversations
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to try new methods, tools, and processes to improve learning experiences
  • Experience using data collection, research, and analysis to evaluate project outcomes and improve individual and organizational performance
  • Experience leading end-to-end, instructional design process-based methodology (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) to create curriculum programs whether technical or non-technical
  • Significant experience working where customer satisfaction is paramount in a service delivery care environment
  • Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment

The annual base salary range is: $127,000 - $191,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
