Within the Ads Quality team, we work on building products that solve advertiser problems that either fall outside of the typical stages of ads delivery or that span across many of the stages. On this team you will identify, design and implement systems and models that broadly improve the ads delivery funnel. In short, this is a unique position, where you’ll get the freedom to chart your own journey and where you’ll get the opportunity to dive deep into many areas of ads delivery.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify advertiser problems, analyze existing data to highlight the problem and opportunity size and propose and implement novel solutions.
  • Build and improve machine learning models and backend systems that underlay ads delivery to maximize value for Pinners, Partners and Pinterest.
  • Run ads delivery experiments that either explore advertiser problems or that validate your solutions to said problems.
  • Drive multi-functional collaboration with peers and partners across the company to identify and solve advertiser problems that stretch across many areas.

What we’re looking for:

  • MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related field.
  • 6+ years of industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience leading projects/teams.
  • Strong software engineering and mathematical skills with knowledge of machine learning.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale online e-commerce systems is a plus.
  • Background in computational advertising is preferred, but not required.
