About The Team:This is a multi-site role based at our Beehive (Nuneaton) Distribution Centre. The Occupational Health Advisor is responsible for supporting the Company health and safety objectives and key results.  Primarily the role supports the H&S function in UK market as well as working closely with other teams at sites to enable worker health, safety and wellbeing.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop and establish an occupational health framework for our operations that makes a lasting impact to worker's health and wellbeing
  • Define external further specialist occupational health services requirements, enabling effective health and safety management and ensuring legal compliance, fully meeting the business risk profile
  • Provide a high-quality occupational health service to our colleagues and management teams
  • Supporting management with active accident investigation-related absence triage and welfare follow up, conducting case management, screening and clinical evaluations
  • Support the business with nursing services related to employee illness and injury
  • Provide occupational health support, health coaching and referrals to appropriate care
  • Enable effective case management / specialist occupational health referrals 
  • Support the development of policies for improved occupational health and health and safety management (D&A, cold temperature exposures, musculoskeletal/ergonomics etc). 
  • Develop occupational health management systems, establishing an occupational health matrix and database 
  • General administration tasks related to the occupational health management
  • Identifying gaps, problems and inefficiency in current processes
  • Monitoring H&S data, undertaking analysis, helping the team make data driven decisions
  • Provide initiatives and projects that support positive employee engagement and culture and continually improve processes and identify areas of potential weaknesses
  • Work closely with teams to understand site issues and risks
  • Support the introduction, and initiate occupational health campaigns, create a positive and proactive site attitude to health and wellbeing
  • Work closely with team to understand site issues and risks by being a member of site change conversations and drive occupational health agenda

Who You Are:

  • UK driving license is desirable due to occasional multi site visitations 
  • Hold a valid NMC PIN number
  • Occupational Health Degree/Diploma or similar.
  • Meticulous written skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to work with autonomy
  • Experience in a warehouse / food manufacturing / logistics environment or similar would be advantageous 
  • Working knowledge of the UK occupational health industry

Location: Based at The Beehive, Bermuda Industrial Estate, 1 St Georges Way, Nuneaton, CV10 7JS. 

With occasional multi site attendance at The Granary, Unit 3, Chalker Way, Banbury, OX16 4XD or The Orchard, 1 Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 40 hour week - On Site
