Join Critical Mass as an Account Director to lead a pivotal year of website management for a leading automotive brand. This is a hands-on leadership role embedded with the client, where your ability to deliver excellence in execution, maintain trusted relationships, and drive strategic updates will be front and center. You Will:

  • Manage the live client website as the operational hub, overseeing ongoing maintenance, landing page updates, model year changeovers, vehicle specification changes, and seasonal campaigns
  • Incorporate new vehicle launches, sales initiatives, and promotional campaigns into the site with speed and precision; ensure all updates are strategically aligned and properly implemented
  • Work on-site at the client office as the senior, visible face of the agency; build trust, facilitate decisions, solve problems collaboratively, and maintain relationship health
  • Guide Creative, Development, Project Management, and Marketing teams to deliver all work on brief, on budget, and on schedule; traffic updates, manage QA, and ensure seamless execution
  • Shape the roadmap for site evolution during this transition period; identify optimization opportunities and recommend strategic improvements based on performance and client priorities
  • Partner with client stakeholders, media partners, and internal teams to ensure all site initiatives drive measurable outcomes and support broader marketing goals
  • Work through challenges with clients using consultative, solution-oriented approaches; translate client needs into clear briefs and actionable plans
  • Own accountability for timelines, quality, and successful delivery; serve as the point person who ensures nothing falls through the cracks

 

You Have:

  • 6–8+ years of agency-side account leadership in digital marketing or digital operations; director-level presence with proven ability to step in and lead immediately (senior account managers with site/digital experience ready to grow are welcome to apply)
  • Demonstrated success managing live websites, overseeing maintenance workflows, coordinating updates, and balancing ongoing operations with strategic initiatives
  • Proven ability to work effectively with Development, Creative, Project Management, and technical teams; comfort coordinating timelines and ensuring smooth execution across disciplines
  • Track record of building trust with sophisticated clients in on-site, embedded environments; ability to influence through collaboration, clarity, and consultative problem-solving
  • Calm, collaborative leadership style with composer under pressure
  • Ability to translate business goals into website strategy, connect campaign initiatives to outcomes, identify opportunities for optimization and growth
  • Experience scoping, planning, and executing multiple initiatives simultaneously; comfort with timelines, resource planning, and ensuring quality delivery
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, especially with senior stakeholders, with the ability to distill complexity into clear narratives and recommendations
  • Agile mindset and are comfortable with an evolving scope and the reality that priorities can shift; you thrive in environments where flexibility and adaptability are valued
  • Bonus if you have automotive background
