About the role:

We are looking for an emerging star performer to join our EMEA new business sales team, as we continue our business growth across core markets in EMEA; including the UK and Nordics.

This is truly an exciting opportunity for a salesperson who has a successful track record in selling market intelligence to brands in Finance, Technology, Travel, Leisure, Retail and consumer brands space on a daily basis and is now looking to take the next step and develop their skills and sales career.

What you will be doing:

You will identify and qualify new inbound sales opportunities as well as your own efforts to develop outreach strategies to generate pipeline and target new clients within the financial services, tech, agency and consumer brands space.

Most of your time will be spent positioning the value of Mintel with stakeholders through demos, email and phone. There’s a reason we call you a trusted advisor-- this is less about the hard sell and more about having the product knowledge, passion and people skills to help the prospect make the best decision for their market intelligence needs.

You will work with prospects through the entire buying process, from initial evaluation to close, and be the primary point of contact until post-sale where you will hand-off to our account management and client success team.

Who we are looking for:

You must have experience of developing pipeline and sales from a cold base

Experienced prospecting via sales enablement platforms will be a big part of your daily activity – you will be expected to build and maintain your own pipeline.

You must be highly self-motivated as well as a terrific communicator, comfortable negotiating, creating urgency and holding tension with senior stakeholders. You should be an exceptional listener with the ability to ask the right questions.

Enthusiasm, drive and positivity should all be characteristics you cherish and display. You should also be people-smart, displaying the emotional intelligence to put yourself ‘in other people’s shoes’.

Continuous learning and self-development must be exciting to you. You will be expected to challenge your own assumptions, put yourself outside of your comfort zone, make mistakes and learn from them. You must be ready to embrace new technologies, processes and techniques as we continue to modernise our sales approach.

Attention to detail and adeptness for the routine reporting which comes with enterprise sales are vital. You will be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of your own sales metrics and ratios and accurately report back to the business using a structured forecast methodology.
