Narvar is growing! We are seeking an AR/Collections Specialist to help support our daily invoicing and collections activities. This position will support the accounts receivable lifecycle including invoicing, contacting customers on collections support and issues, cash application, and posting entries into the accounting systems. Reports to the Accounting Manager.

Day-to-day

• Support the cash processing and the accounts receivable system operations
• Manage invoice distribution to customers’ AP systems
• Post customer payments by recording checks, credit card, and wire/ACH transactions
• Process refunds, overpayments, and bad debts as guided by the Director or Controller
• Follow up on past due balances and investigate questions posed by customers in a timely manner and help resolve issues
• Handle customer bankruptcy filings and other legal documents
• Working with cross functional teams to resolve customer issues and provide a good customer experience
• Perform ad-hoc analyses as needed

What we’re looking for

• 1-3 years of experience in AR roles
• Experience in a growth-oriented and distributed startup environment
• Basic accounting knowledge 
• Experience with the invoice to cash process
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and positive customer experience skills
• Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce.com
• Attention to detail and good follow up / customer service skills
• Good prioritization skills and ability to provide timely and accurate responses
• Proficiency with Excel
