Candidates for this position are preferred to be based in Bangalore, India and will be expected to comply with theirteam's hybrid work schedule requirements.Who We Are:Wayfairruns the largest custom e-commerce large parcel network in the United States, approximately 1.6 millionsquare meters of logistics space. The nature of the network is inherently a highly variable ecosystem that requiresflexible, reliable, and resilient systems to operate efficiently.What you’ll do:● Architect and write code to implement high-quality, scalable services with effective system boundaries that willsupport our long term vision & strategy● Lead your teammates by example, as an senior member of the team you will let your code and system designsdemonstrate the path the team should follow● Use your deep understanding of Wayfair infrastructure and drive changes to support our technology strategyenabling engineers across the department to deliver value efficiently.● Lead technical debate and decision making ensuring no-regret decisions with appreciation for trade-offs● Nurture collaborative ways of working that grow the team, its members and the product: testing practices,pairing/mobbing, continuous deployment, domain-driven design● Influence and contribute to the technical and product strategy and roadmap

What you’ll need:● Broad experience with JVM technologies with deep knowledge and experience in Java● Experience with architectures developed in cloud-based and event-driven environments● Experience with Monolith, SOA and Microservice architectures that served as business and/or technicalplatforms● Track record in working with best practices such as design patterns and CI/CD● Capability to collaborate across the wider organization, influence even without direct authority with an inclusive,adaptable and persuasive communication style● An interest in challenging problems and the ability to work with many different teams identifying architecturalboundaries and platform interfaces
