Assistant Producer, Brand & Content Why We Have This Role At Qualtrics, great stories help people connect with our brand, our tech, and the humans behind our customer experiences. We’re looking for an Assistant Producer who has natural storytelling instincts, loves digging into research, and wants to learn the ins and outs of brand producing from the ground up. If you just wrapped up a degree in Broadcast, Journalism, or Media and want to put your reporting and writing chops to work in a fast-paced creative environment, this role is built for you. Instead of spending your day behind a camera lens or buried inside an editing timeline, you’ll focus on the heart of the narrative: researching guests, setting up shoots, drafting interview questions that get past corporate speak, and serving as a key right hand to our Brand and Content leadership. How You’ll Find Success- A Reporter’s Instinct for a Good Story: You just know when an angle works. You can listen to someone talk for 10 minutes, cut through the fluff, and spot the compelling human hook that makes people stop scrolling and pay attention.
- Curiosity & Interview Smarts: You love digging into a topic, learning what makes a subject tick, and writing fresh, conversational interview questions that draw out memorable, authentic soundbites.
- Poise Around Team Leaders: You’re confident jumping into conversations, sharing your point of view, and working side-by-side with senior leaders on the Brand & Content team. You stay one step ahead, anticipating what needs to get done next.
- Video Production Fluency: You speak the language of video. While you won't be trapped behind a camera or an edit bay, you already understand how shoots run from pre-pro to post, making it easy for you to coordinate with videographers, freelance crews, and editors.
- Scrappy, Get-It-Done Energy: Production moves fast and plans change. You stay organized, keep your cool when schedules shift, and take pride in coordinating shoot logistics, prepping guests, and keeping projects on track.
- Learn Directly from Creative Leaders: Work hand-in-hand every day with senior directors and strategists, getting a front-row seat to how enterprise creative campaigns and brand strategies are built.
- Master High-Stakes Storytelling: Build your portfolio by turning complex business and human topics into engaging video packages, mini-docs, and social-first narratives.
- On-Camera & Hosting Opportunities: If you have an interest or background in front of the lens, we love putting talented storytellers on camera for social segments, event coverage, and internal features.
- Cross-Media Versatility: Sharpen your voice across video, audio, social media hooks, and written editorial content.
- Set Up & Build Interviews: Research internal leaders, customers, and industry experts; coordinate interview schedules and logistics; and write tailored interview guides designed to get authentic, unscripted answers.
- Own Pre-Interview Prep: Run pre-interviews to vet storylines, brief guests so they feel comfortable before the cameras roll, and flag key talking points for the production team.
- Support Brand & Content Leadership: Act as a central point person for our creative leaders by drafting briefs, prepping meeting decks, keeping track of action items, and ensuring team projects cross the finish line.
- Write Supporting Creative Copy: Draft video outlines, social copy teasers, video hooks, and promotional blurbs that support our multimedia campaigns.
- Coordinate On-Set Logistics: Keep shoot days running smoothly by building call sheets, greeting and prepping talent, managing schedules, and keeping external videographers looped in on creative goals.
- Help Bridge Pre-Production to Post: Review raw interview footage, pull the best quotes and soundbites, and pass time-coded notes to video editors to help shape the final cut.
- 1-3+ years of experience in Broadcasting, Videography, or another relevant field.
- Background in Storytelling: A degree in Journalism, Broadcast Media, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on student media/internship experience).
- Interview & Writing Samples: A portfolio or reel featuring work you’ve produced, reported, or written—such as student broadcast packages, interview transcripts/articles, video scripts, or multimedia stories.
- Organizational Hustle: Experience coordinating shoots, managing production schedules, or juggling multiple creative deadlines in a newsroom, studio, agency, or internship environment.
-
Awesome Bonuses:
- On-Camera Experience: Experience reporting for a campus news station, hosting a podcast, or presenting on social channels.
- Basic Editing Literacy: Familiarity with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Descript, or CapCut for pulling selects or rough assemblies.
- High-energy, collaborative team culture that values curiosity, fresh ideas, and taking initiative.
- Fast feedback loops with real opportunities to pitch ideas and see them produced.
- Direct mentorship from experienced brand storytellers and creative leaders.
- A hybrid setup that blends in-person creative collaboration with remote flexibility.
- Performance-based incentive structure and 100% merit-based promotions driven by impact rather than tenure.
- Continuous professional growth opportunities and direct creative mentorship.
- On-site amenities including catered lunches, quarterly team socials, seasonal parties, and Qualtrics swag.
