The Associate of StepStone Group Real Assets LP (“SIRA”) in Sydney will be responsible for providing analytical, modeling, research and other associated support to SIRA’s local and international team in supporting clients with investments in infrastructure and associated real asset sectors globally.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform financial modelling and analytical tasks – create and/or modify financial models, analyze financial statements and financial forecasts, prepare valuation bridges, run discounted cash flow analysis, comparable public companies, and create sensitivity / scenario analysis
  • Support with asset management activities, including maintaining asset financial model, supporting independent valuation process and drafting quarterly and other periodic reports
  • Support with investment memo / presentation writing and preparation
  • Undertake research regarding, and diligence of, potential investment opportunities and sectors, including primary funds, secondaries, co-investments and direct investments; and
  • Interact with, and support, team members in delivering on client mandates and materials as required
  • Training of junior staff and analysts

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience at an investment bank, project finance firm, professional services firm, investment manager, Limited Partner, or in associated fields
  • A Bachelor’s degree or MBA (or higher) ideally in a related field such as Business, Finance, Engineering or Economics

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Acute attention to accuracy and detail
  • Effective communication skills and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize activities while working on multiple projects and achieve target deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI
