GoFundMe is on a mission to empower people to help people.  We are searching for an Associate Communications Director to drive our external facing work in the UK and Ireland, build the GoFundMe brand, and drive the company’s growth in service of our users.

The Job...

  • Serve as an on-the-record spokesperson with reporters in the UK and Ireland and execute proactive media announcements across the country
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with reporters in the UK and Ireland and successfully generate positive news on a regular basis
  • Develop/deploy creative earned media tactics to generate positive news as well as innovative PR plans highlighting inspiring GoFundMe campaigns
  • Generate stories about GoFundMe campaigns and crowdfunding trends in the UK and Ireland

You...

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant equivalent experience
  • 12+ years in PR/Communications, most recently at a senior level such as editor or newsdesk lead
  • A great contacts book and be willing to use it
  • Happy to work in innovative and exciting ways 
  • Management experience
  • Write and communicate clearly
  • Love news and want to get as many stories out there as possible
  • Want to create something that can be a service to journalists 
  • Demonstrated creativity in driving communications and maximizing media opportunities

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $102,000 - $138,000 + equity + benefits.  As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the UK. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
