Associate Program Managers at AKQA support the successful delivery of projects by assisting in planning, execution, and monitoring. They understand project objectives and contribute to managing expectations internally and with clients. Associate Program Managers have experience in supporting project lifecycles and can assist in navigating and prioritizing business needs, resource management, schedules, and financials to contribute to the successful delivery of assignments.

Please note: This is a freelance contract role. No visa transfers or visa sponsorships will be offered at this time. This role is based in Atlanta, GA, and requires on-site presence 3 days a week. 

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the meticulous scoping, planning, costing, and timing of projects
  • Support the management of brand and marketing projects with multi-disciplinary teams and vendors throughout the project lifecycle, facilitating effective team communication and collaboration
  • Assist in identifying dependencies and the cascading impacts of delays
  • Contribute to solution-oriented approaches internally and externally
  • Support the work of strategy, user experience, design, and development teams and deliverables
  • Assist in monitoring project health, leveraging existing tools and processes to track people, budget, time, and status
  • Partner with Client Services to support scope management and identify opportunities
  • Help to continually improve AKQA delivery practices and techniques
  • Assist in overseeing contractors and vendors if required to deliver components of the project
  • Ensure a collaborative ‘One Team’ approach comprising both client and agency representatives
  • Demonstrated interest in the financial aspects of project management.

 

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • Experience or familiarity with adapting project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Lean, Kanban) to the needs of the project
  • 1-3 years of experience managing or supporting digital projects in an agency or consulting environment
  • Experience working with common project management tools such as Jira/Confluence, MS Project/Primavera, Slack
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for learning project management best practices.

 

The pay range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.

$3,250 - $3,750 per week

Candidates must be able to work EST hours and be on-site in Atlanta 3 days a week.
