We are seeking an Associate Manager, Quality who will be to help develop, manage and expand the quality management system on site. This will include effectively helping to manage the Quality Assurance Supervisors and Technicians whilst ensuring warehouse and quality standards are maintained.

You will...

  • Develop, motivate, engage, coach, and inspire a team of QA supervisors and technicians, creating a positive team dynamic that encourages all employees to provide feedback and drive change from within.
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding GMPs, HACCP and Quality events/Holds; including document control.
  • Coach and train QA employees to follow company procedures
  • Interact with vendors and procurement to ensure food safety of all purchased parts.
  • Address nonconformities from previous internal and external audits, following-up on and closing preventive and corrective action requests.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with warehouse, manufacturing, support teams, and external partners.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate team productivity and accomplishments.
  • Verification of activities being completed at set frequencies along with KPI’s.
  • Ensuring proper inventory counts are maintained for expiration dates.
  • Manage the calibration program for the site.
  • Manage the pest control program for the site.
  • Manage the GMP program for the site.
  • Manage the Hold program for the site.
  • Manage the DigiSense temperature system. 
  • Execute new hire training for the site.
  • Document and submit the daily end of shift report via email.
  • Backfill supervisory role when needed (call off, PTO requests).
  • Primary contact for escalations.  
  • Any and all other functions as determined by management

At a minimum, you have…

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Food Science, Biology or other relevant subjects
  • 3+ years of experience within the food industry
  • Effective communicator for employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and data driven mindset
  • Extensive knowledge of principles and applications of FSQA programs including HACCP, Sanitation
  • Up-to-date knowledge on FDA and GFSI guidelines
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office, Google sheets, Slack, and Warehouse management system (WMS) software.
