Job Role Summary:
This position involves primarily managing and handling Tier 1 to Tier 4 events in the EMEA Region. It also includes supporting up to Tier 5 offsite events and addressing escalated Tier 1 and Tier 2 event support questions and issues within the defined scope of services. Additionally, the role entails creating and delivering training and documentation to assist members and end users. The individual will also be involved in projects or programs to enhance and improve hardware or software audiovisual (AV) systems. There may also be a responsibility to mentor junior team members. The job duties primarily focus on events, accounting for approximately 60% of the workload, while the remaining 40% is dedicated to projects.
AV Operations & Event Support:
- Set up daily meetings/events in London office event spaces
- Majority onsite role in the London office
- Support remote/ virtual events in the region as needed
- Travel required for AV projects and to support offsite events or Executive events
- Provide AV support for existing systems
- Support AV Deployments, Break Fix, and AV Related Projects in the Region
- Identify, track, and resolve problems within the AV systems
- Resolve technical AV system problems in the London office and regionally
- Provide end-user support and training as needed
- Interact with senior internal and external personnel on event production matters, standards, and related projects
- Fundamental understanding of Security, UC, and event services best practices, e.g., Service Accounts, G-Drive, Zoom, Etc.
Customer Service:
- Meet with customers before meetings or presentations to better understand the customer’s requirements for the meeting/ events to ensure the success
- Based on Okta’s Best Practices: Make oneself available during business hours
- Provide immediate or “emergency” in-person problem resolution when necessary and as needed.
Administrative Services:
- Maintain and provide timely reporting per Okta’s requirements
- Track and document daily to quarterly activities per Okta’s requirements
- Manage tickets in ServiceNow and Jira
Required Skills and Experience Level:
- Experience Level 3 AV Engineer is skilled and trained with the following background:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in CS, NW, Audiovisual, MIS, related technical
- Degree or equivalent 4 – 6+ years of relevant experience
- Dante Certification Level 1 required
- Knowledge of AV systems, operations, and maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting procedures, Audio and Video signal flow, with a strong understanding of IT Networking principles
- Familiarity with QSC, Dante, Crestron, Shure, Audio Boards, and AV over IP
- Understanding of corporate network architecture, management, and networking technologies (WiFi, DNS, QoS, VLANs, etc.)
- Ability to perform duties with minimal/limited direction
- AV Production or Event support experience
Preferred Skills:
- AV Systems Integration with comprehensive knowledge of AV Systems, Zoom front-end, and back-end
- CTS Training/ Certification preferred or relevant experience
- Jamf Associate Certification
- Ability and experience with writing technical documentation to standardize event systems for various event types.
- Ability to train support teams on AV best practices to ensure consistent support practices.
- Backend UC Platform experience with primarily Zoom, Teams, and WebEx
- Demonstrates the ability to work well under pressure and in complex environments
- Strong ability to build, execute, and complete initiatives with minimal oversight
- Cross-functional Collaboration with different teams, organizations, and leaders
