Join Betsson Group as a Basketball Trading Manager and lead a dedicated team of 8 sports traders from our vibrant office in Malta, the heart of the betting industry. Main Responsibilities:

• Leading the Basketball trading operation, both pre-match and live events, ensuring a dynamic and comprehensive sportsbook offering.
• Manage risk, oversee sports limits and paybacks, and ensure adherence to compliance regulations.
• Ensure a full and competitive sports offering is always provided.
• Liaise with third party providers to ensure an optimal trading product is delivered and margin is maximised.
• Work with the Trading Product team to continue to develop the product and improve trading tools.
• Ensure team works closely with Client Risk department to enhance customer analysis.
• Stay informed on market trends and competitor actions to guarantee our offerings are competitive.
• Implement effective error reporting and problem-solving mechanisms.
• Produce and provide analysis of product performance periodically as defined by the Head of Sports Trading.
• Lead recruitment, coaching, and development initiatives for the team.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and ensure the team is aligned with business objectives.
• Assisting other teams within the trading department where necessary.
• Build a close relationship with Commercial teams in order to meet their needs with regards to PR, marketing, social media and special bets initiatives.

Requirements:

• Proven ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of basketball trading, both pre-match and live.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with acute attention to detail.
• Excellent understanding of the sportsbook product, sports trading and customer trends.
• Commitment to team spirit and knowledge sharing.
• Decisive, proactive, and driven, with a clear focus on achieving results.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a solid grasp of mathematical, statistical, and probabilistic concepts.
• Passionate about sports, with a keen insight into the needs and desires of sports fans.
• Ability to inspire and lead a team in a dynamic setting.
• A flexible work schedule will be required including some evenings and weekends.
• Fluent in English.
• Based in Malta or willing to relocate.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sportsbook environment.
