As our Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind our commercial expansion in Europe, opening doors, building relationships, and closing deals that bring our ingredients into the products of tomorrow. You won't just be growing a pipeline: you'll be changing the food industry. 

A Taste of What to Expect

  • Own the full sales cycle across Western Europe: from cold outreach and pipeline building in Salesforce, all the way to contract signature and product launch
  • Map stakeholder networks at target accounts, decode decision-making dynamics, and find the right angle to move opportunities forward 
  • Partner closely with customers to uncover growth opportunities using real data: customer insights, market intelligence (e.g. Nielsen), and a sharp commercial instinct
  • Lead high-stakes in-person pitches and run structured performance reviews that keep customers engaged and growing
  • Bring an entrepreneurial mindset every day, proactively generating new business while nurturing key accounts for long-term value
  • Constantly raise the bar on how we sell: testing new tools, embracing AI, and challenging what "good" looks like in B2B food ingredients sales

The Perfect Recipe of Skills & Experience

  • At least 3-5 years in sales, business development or key account management, ideally in food ingredients, FMCG or adjacent industries
  • A genuine track record of winning new business through cold acquisition: you know what it takes to open a door that wasn't there before
  • Fluent in the language of data: pipeline management, stakeholder mapping, deal structuring, and negotiation don't intimidate you, they energize you
  • An entrepreneurial mindset that defaults to action: you prioritize ruthlessly, communicate with precision, and listen as well as you pitch
  • Storytelling ability that makes technical food ingredients feel like the most exciting thing in the room (because, honestly, they are)
  • Fluent in English and German. You bring also French, Spanish, or Italian? Even better.
