The Team & Role

We are seeking a skilled Collections Analyst to join our finance team. The Collections Analyst will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment collections, and minimizing outstanding debts. This position is critical to meet Zuora’s Cash Flow metrics.  

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely while occasionally getting together with your team for office visits, events, or offsites. Of course, you’re welcome to come into the office more often if you’re nearby. 

What you’ll do

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and proactively follow up on overdue payments.
  • Contact customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to resolve outstanding invoices and disputes.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in collaboration with our sales, billing, professional services, and customer success teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of collections activities and customer interactions in the accounting system.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve collections processes and implement best practices.
  • Onboarding new customers, filling out vendor forms and/or managing portals. 
  • Provide an accurate end of quarter cash landing forecast within 1%.

 

Your experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in collections or customer service fields where customer interfacing is required. (preferably in a SaaS or technology company).
  • Ability to work PST hours
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work environment with minimal distractions on zoom or phone calls due to the customer facing nature of the role.

 

Nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of risk assessment and financial analysis is a plus.
  • Experience with Zuora Billing software is a plus.
