We are looking for data-oriented individuals to join our Category Management team, who are fluent in Mandarin to support our Asia-based suppliers.

Who We Are:

The Category Management team offers a unique opportunity to drive strategy for Wayfair’s largest product categories through tight internal and external partnerships. Category Associates own and drive the supplier experience, with key initiatives being led and owned by you. You will serve as an ambassador for the specific product category you will manage, giving suppliers more data, more transparency, and more control while retaining the high-touch elements that make working with Wayfair exceptional.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define overarching strategy and goals within your assigned product category, and serve as a project manager to drive results
  • Analyze data, trends, and use resources to improve the quality of our product catalog in order to increase customer satisfaction, trust, and site conversion rates; researching categories and vendors to build out selection
  • Create cross-functional partnerships to advance your category through merchandising, promotions, marketing, on-trend product selection, effective pricing and profitability, and operational excellence
  • Build key supplier relationships to enable successful pricing negotiations and push towards a best-in-class customer experience
  • Lead the overall performance of your supplier portfolio and overall category performance, ultimately delivering against revenue and profitability growth targets
  • Support the category plan to achieve a best-in-class customer experience: strong assortment, competitive pricing, high in-stock rates, and optimized speed
  • Develop new opportunities for suppliers to expand assortment and grow their businesses
  • Represent Wayfair as an ambassador in offsite events, such as trade shows

What You’ll Need:

  • 1-3 years of transferable experience in a corporate environment, including internship and co-op experience
  • Fluency in Mandarin, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to influence others
  • Analytical mindset able to process large volumes of data using a variety of reporting tools (Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, etc.)
  • Ability to distill complex information in a simplistic way via emails, charts, graphs, and other forms of presentations
  • Passionate about execution with strong interest to drive customer engagement
  • Desire to own projects from beginning to end, and  thrive as part of a team as well as individually
  • Comfortability navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment with little structure
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills

Wayfair's In-Office Policy:

All Boston-based corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity.
