Central Purchasing Manager 

You will be responsible for supporting the Deliveroo legal, tech, and finance teams, ensuring all contracts are managed, reviewed and extended as needed. This will also include maintaining and managing contractor data to ensure timely payments invoice processing, and reviewing contracts on a regular basis. The central purchase function plays a crucial role in enabling the Deliveroo teams to effectively monitor expenditure and manage their budgets.You will be based in our London HQ office, where you will be required to work in the office 3-days a week.  

 

Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading and managing the Deliveroo Centralised Purchase function
  • Managing the team of 2: Legal Billing Specialist and Senior Tech Procurement Analyst
  • Working closely with Finance BPs to ensure month end has been completed
  • Establishing ways to improve the end-to-end billing tracking and invoicing process for the Deliveroo legal and tech team as a whole.
  • Working closely with the lawyers in the Deliveroo legal team, training them as to the required process to ensure this is as streamlined as possible.
  • Liaising with the finance teams of all external law firms, vendors and suppliers that are engaged by the Deliveroo team in relation to the full invoicing process.
  • Tracking and monitoring all invoices that are received.
  • Tracking and monitoring spend across the Deliveroo legal and tech team, and be able to accurately and efficiently report on this when needed to the management team (and General Counsel).
  • Assisting with the Deliveroo legal team budget process.
  • Working closely with the finance and procurement teams at Deliveroo to ensure efficient processes are established with respect to legal billing. 
  • Managing the opening of Purchase Orders (POs) required for each of our vendors and suppliers, to ensure each and every invoice received has a PO number attributed to it to allow for settlement.
  • Managing approval processes required as part of the invoice settling process.
  • Running reports and KPIs for the team on figures for the month/quarter
  • Overlook teams yearly budget spend.

 

Requirements: 

  • Experience in the finance operational  function of a large and scaling company.
  • Experience leading a team
  • Able to assist with and input into budget tracking and processes.
  • Ability to implement and drive excellent processes, always looking at how improvements can be made.
  • Strong communication skills, being able to communicate effectively with the Deliveroo legal team, Deliveroo finance as well as external business partners.
  • Excellent soft skills - the ability to develop strong relationships with members of the Deliveroo team and its external law firms, vendors and suppliers.
