Your role and your team:

As we head towards the art of production of our groundbreaking Lilium jet, we are looking for an experienced CNC/CAM Programmer to join our team, getting hands-on in the jet's manufacture!

In this position, you will report directly to the machining centre leader, and work on a variety of projects and tasks.   Programming and operating state-of-the-art 5ax CNC-Machines (GROB, MAZAK). Using HyperMill, Siemens 840D and Mazatrol Smooth-X as well as assisting the engineering teams by providing feedback for design improvements.

Your Day to Day:

• Programming of components in HyperMill CAM and on the machine (Siemens 840D, Mazatrol SmoothX)
• Independent control of components with modern measuring equipment (dimensions and tolerances)
• Assistance in the continuous process optimization of workflows, optimize the life and use of cutting tools.
• Assist the Manufacturing Lab team in the development of tooling and new equipment commissioning and implementation.
• Work cross functionally with related departments
  • e.g., work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes, equipment & tooling, and machining efficiency.
  • e.g., improve manufacturing standards and process requirements.
  • e.g., support digital improvements and innovations while working with manufacturing execution systems.

Your Profile: 

We are looking for a hard working team player who can join our fast growing team.  We look for people who are happy in an environment where each day is different. where you learn and adapt to change constantly.

You should enjoy working autonomously and be a good communicator who can interact with a wide variety of colleagues and teams.   Ideally you will have background as a cutting machine operator, CNC Programmer, CNC Technician etc and have developed into CAM programming .  and around 5 years’ experience in CNC job setup.

Your skills should include: 

• Experience with a CAM system, developing end-to-end processes. 
• Experience in HyperMill is beneficial.
• Able to read and understand manufacturing instructions setup sheets.
• Experience with operating and maintaining a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment. Experience operating high volume production machinery preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with 5 axis Machining center required
• Experience in Conversational Programming (Siemens 840D and/or Mazatrol SmoothX)
• Fluent English required; German language is a plus.
