Commercial Finance Business Partner
The role:
You will manage the planning and reporting on the financial performance for Deliveroo Hop and Editions with a focus on site operations costs. You will work with business stakeholders to drive monthly reporting and provide financial control and oversight of the operations through the spend approval processes. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building and setting up the financial capabilities for a new and pioneering department and who can work with multiple stakeholders from site operators to senior management. You will work in the London HQ, with at least 3 days a week to be worked from the office.
Reporting to the Senior Finance & Strategy Manager you will be responsible for:
- Reporting: Full ownership and accountability of the reporting, preparation and analysis of the global labour & site operating costs and other fixed costs from preparing adjustments to holding reviews with senior stakeholders.
- Planning: You will steer how we build this department by working with the teams to build annual and monthly financial plans at a site, country, and department level for both Site Labour and Site Operating Costs
- Financial control: You will provide oversight on spend as a member of the financial approval processes, and work with financial reporting at month end to ensure P&L accuracy
- Business partnering: You will be the go-to person on anything Finance related for Hop & Editions Site Operations working with the business teams at all levels, and work with stakeholders to improve efficiency across the P&L
- Process improvement: You will need to build reporting processes from scratch and improve existing processes.
Requirements:
- You will have relevant industry / startup
- You will be a part / fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- You will have experience partnering with wider business stakeholders at all levels and work with financial reporting teams
- You will be comfortable in building models from scratch and improving current processes
- You will be rigorous in the work you produce and challenge anomalies
