Lyft is looking to add a qualified and experienced Consolidations accountant to its Accounting & Reporting team. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Consolidations & Intercompany, and will work with stakeholders across the organization to complete the monthly global consolidation process. The role provides a challenging opportunity as it encompasses day to day controllership duties as well as focuses on a number of project based initiatives to improve the consolidated financial reporting process. 

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the monthly close and consolidation process, including performing key internal controls related to foreign currency, intercompany transactions, and other consolidation matters as well as ensure Financials statements are prepared under US GAAP 
  • Assist with statutory reporting requirements of international entities.
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, as well as assisting with  flux analysis and management reporting
  • Perform monthly revaluations, translations, eliminations for legal entities, and maintain supporting documentation and reconciliations
  • Maintaining the integrity of the global chart of accounts and related cross mappings to local subsidiary  ERPs
  • Ensure the proper accounting for intercompany arrangements, partnering with treasury and tax teams to align on intercompany strategy and related accounting practices.
  • Responsible for validating system interfaces, creation of new standardized reports, and  troubleshooting consolidation general ledger issues while working with IT
  • Support the integration of acquisitions to ensure seamless consolidated financial reporting.
  • Assist in performing SOX compliant controls related to the consolidations and financial reporting processes
  • Support internal and external auditors in the periodic review of the Company financial records 
  • Perform projects and provide ad-hoc information requests, as needed
Experience:
  • 4 year degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA preferred
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
  • Requires minimum of three years in Accounting, preferably including experience with larger multinational organizations
  • Oracle FCCS or HFM experience required; Google applications experience preferred
  • Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are a must
  • Highly detail oriented and ability to multitask is a valuable asset
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $71,200 - CAD $89,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
