The Web Content Author role works within the Barefoot team to input, configure, format and publish content into content management systems, specifically Drupal and Kentico, on behalf of our clients. Primarily accountable for the completion and quality control of project work, the ideal candidate should possess a combination of strong technical skills, problem solving capabilities, teamwork/collaboration, attention to detail and communication skills. 

You will:

  • Input, configure, format and publish content in Drupal and/or Kentico using prebuilt authoring templates and components.
  • Build custom forms through CMS platforms.
  • Manage taxonomies within platforms.
  • Configure personalized elements through CMS platforms.
  • Occasionally author basic HTML and CSS to optimize the presentation of content within existing platform components.
  • Think creatively about how to use CMS authoring components to realize the creative vision for how content is displayed through the platform.
  • Manage, organize, and optimize digital assets.
  • Ensure proper tagging is in place to support measurement of website traffic.
  • Proactively troubleshoot issues.
  • Work with collaboratively with the Barefoot team across disciplines, including account, project management, creative, strategy, user experience, and technology.
  • Provide proactive communications with other Barefoot team members regarding project progress.

You have:

  • 2+ years of experience working in content management systems, such as Drupal, Kentico, AEM or Sitecore. Drupal and/or Kentico experience preferred.
  • Acquia Site Builder certification preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with CMS content architectures, content authoring and component configuration. 
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript. 
  • Familiarity with mobile/responsive development and testing.
  • Willing and capable to learn and perform authoring in other CMS platforms.
  • Understanding of cross-client, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility.
  • Experience with JIRA is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.  
  • Work independently in a structured team without close supervision.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong attention to details ensuring final product is precise and lacking errors.
  • Work with QA team to validate and ensure delivery of a flawless product.
