The roleAs a regulated payment provider, we must ensure we manage operational risk and our regulatory requirements correctly. We do this by having a robust control framework across some of our business-critical areas, like payment and billing.
This role will be critical in ensuring our 1st line Operations teams continue to implement, manage and regularly update their robust controls framework. You'll manage the end-to-end controls framework for our Shared Services team, including but not limited to Payments Operations and Billing & Credit Control. A key responsibility includes ensuring we have adequate and effective controls to safeguard customer funds. The role provides an excellent opportunity to shape the control environment for fast-growing FinTech, putting your stamp on how controls are designed, implemented and managed.
What excites you- Designing and implementing controls. Working with the Regulatory Compliance team to understand the complete picture of the control landscape and then collaborating with 1st line control owners in our Operation to implement relevant controls
- Control assessment and reporting. Updating the safeguarding controls assessment on a regular cadence
- Direct control management. Managing key access controls within our Internal Operations teams
- Understanding existing processes and re-designing controls to meet current and future business needs
- Working with the Regulatory team to ensure audits are completed successfully, including explaining our first-line controls to auditors and regulators
- Improving efficiency through the standardisation and automation of controls
- Building positive relationships with stakeholders across the different lines of defence to help develop a real understanding of our risk exposure, control environment, deficiencies and gaps
- Autonomy to drive change from the ground up
- Have worked in a regulated environment, preferably financial services or at a FinTech
- Previous experience working in a similar role, you’re skilled in designing, implementing and testing the effectiveness of controls
- You're a great communicator. You can simplify and clearly explain the what and why behind the controls you implement
- You understand how to balance compliance and operational efficiency
- Your first thought is to automate. Although this is not a technical role, we are a FinTech; you must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with product managers and engineers to automate controls
- You have a solid understanding of the three lines of defence and have experience working with Regulatory Compliance teams as well as external auditors
- You have great attention to detail and work in a structured manner
- You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where your responsibilities can evolve and change
- You're a self-starter and can work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with safeguarding is a plus
Salary range: €2600 - €3300 (gross)
