As Counsel, Trust & Safety, you will tackle a range of cutting-edge matters arising from content on Pinterest, including issues relating to intermediary liability, content policies, and ads policies. You’ll work with our Trust & Safety Operations, Engineering, Product and other cross-functional teams to evaluate and strategize for compliance with a dynamic and developing legal landscape governing user generated content.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Provide timely legal support for Operations teams on legal questions around content removals, including for unlawful content, Community Guidelines violations and ad policies.
  • Work closely with the ads and content policy team to draft new policies and work on compliance with laws, regulations and self-regulatory bodies, with a focus on consumer protection, privacy, content regulation and advertising.
  • Provide specialized legal guidance to cross-functional partners and other members of the Legal team on intermediary liability and content issues.
  • Work closely with Trust & Safety Operations, Product and Engineering teams to strategize for compliance with content laws globally, including intermediary liability laws.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified to practice law in the U.S. state where you reside.  
  • JD with 4+ years of experience counseling on intermediary liability and content issues at a law firm or in-house. Experience with advertising and consumer internet issues matters preferred.  
  • Exceptional judgment and impeccable integrity with excellent communication and client-service skills.
  • Eagerness to learn with a strong desire to embrace an entrepreneurial, flexible, and collaborative working style. 
  • Experience leading and multitasking on competing projects and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proven ability to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and independently and drive cross-functional efforts to successful completion.

Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
