As a market leader globally, we need to maintain this strong market momentum and help drive an even greater awareness amongst the world's biggest Brands, Agencies & Publishers. In order to be successful, the Country Manager will therefore need to combine strategic and commercial acumen with a proactive approach from themselves and their team.

The Netherlands and Nordics are growth markets for Taboola where we are in building mode. We have a good stable of advertisers and publishers and are looking for someone who can build this out further to maturity and to replicate the successes we have achieved in other European markets. It requires someone to build and nurture a high performing team and leverage their local networks in order to attract new customers and partners. This is a job for an entrepreneurial person who is strategic and can focus on the most important areas for us to scale. It is suitable for someone who thrives on the challenge of building something great and who wants the satisfaction of being more than just a number. 

What the Country Manager will do

  • Oversee all Enterprise revenues for the region - publisher and advertiser, and leads the associated teams that deliver these revenues
  • Build out and mature our Netherlands & Nordics business
  • Drive the local market strategy
  • Build a high performing sales culture
  • Engage the team and build the local market culture via Country meetings and other initiatives
  • Secure and deliver on agency trading deals and JBPs
  • Secure long term publisher partnerships with the expectation that they are heavily involved in pub sales
  • Lead from the front - this is a nimble team and we need someone who will personally drive growth
  • Represent Taboola at events in market 
  • Regularly be in market networking with prospects and partners and take full advantage of our VIA membership
  • Find efficiencies and commonalities across the regions
  • Be the voice of the region with Taboola at Regional Reviews and when communicating with internal stakeholders including Product, Marketing, Sales Ops, PS, etc
  • Primary decision maker for advertiser IOs, publisher deals, client entertainment spend and other responsibilities in line with Taboola’s policies
  • Ensure that employees in regional offices are supported and motivated

 

Requirements:

  • Languages - Fluent in English and Dutch / Swedish 
  • Location - Amsterdam or Stockholm
  • 10+ years of relevant experience preferred (adtech/digital media.) We are open to considering candidates with exceptional skills and potential who may have slightly less experience.
  •  Minimum of 3 years experience in managing an advertising sales team
  • High business development acumen - must have experience in and be able to independently secure large publisher and advertiser partnerships
  • Must be well connected with Chief Investment officers / Trading Directors at Dutch big 6 agencies and independent agencies
  • Must be well connected with the monetisation teams at major publishers: e.g. Mediahuis and DPG (Having a Nordics network in addition is an advantage)
  • Experience as a player/coach
  • Negotiation experience - dealing with long terms strategic partnerships and managing the negotiation from A-Z
  • Proven experience in opening new markets or working in a scale up environment
  • Proven experience in customer centricity
  • Ability to work in a high paced decision making environment 
  • Proven capabilities of collaborating with internal departments and multiple stakeholders in parallel to the external business negotiations and relationships
