About the Customer Success Team

Mixpanel’s Customer Success & Solutions Engineering teams are analytics advisors who empower our customer’s organizations to make data-informed decisions that unlock measurable business impact. We work with prospects and customers throughout the customer journey to understand what drives value and serve as the technical counterpart to our Sales organization to deliver on that value. We partner closely with Account Executives, Account Managers, Product, Engineering, and Support to successfully roll out self-serve analytics within our customer’s organizations, help the customer manage change, execute on technical projects and services that delight our customers and ultimately drive ROI on the customer’s Mixpanel investment.

About the Role

As a Customer Education Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing engaging, interactive, and effective learning content that enable our customers to successfully implement and adopt our product. You will collaborate closely with our Customer Enablement team to build out the full instructional design lifecycle, from needs analysis and curriculum design to content development and assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding and stay informed about Mixpanel's evolving product features and technology to understand how customers derive value and effectively address their needs through educational content
  • Design and develop engaging learning experiences and curriculum leveraging best practices for course design and development. This may include written course content, video or interactive web-based training, multimedia elements, etc.
  • Write clear and concise course content, including presentations, interactive exercises, and supporting materials
  • Develop assessments that accurately measure learner comprehension and skill development
  • Review courses and multimedia assets to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of instructional design best practices, learning technologies, and adult learning principles
  • Administer of content within the LMS (e.g. upload and manage courses, etc.)
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other team members to identify target audience’s learning needs and outcomes
  • Manage assigned instructional design projects, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables
  • Analyze learner data and feedback to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement improvements to curriculum, content, and delivery methods
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of internal processes and best practices in managing our customer education content

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design or a related field in Enterprise B2B SaaS
  • Passion for customer success and a commitment to continuous learning
  • Strong understanding of customer enablement best practices and learning principles, including onboarding, training, and adoption strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly and concisely to customers and cross-functional stakeholders
  • High technical aptitude and an eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving customer needs
  • Experience with customer education platforms (e.g. LMS) and content creation tools (e.g. authoring software, demo creation software, video editing software)
    • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise 360, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (e.g. SkillsJar, Workramp).
  • Desire to stay up to date on emerging technologies and methodologies to continue enhancing learning experiences
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into easily digestible formats
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Understanding of SaaS/Enterprise business terminology and business acumen to speak directly to common enterprise customer needs, values, and pain points
