About us:
We’re here to make money work for everyone and we're doing things differently. For too long, banking has been obtuse, complex and opaque.
We want to change that and build a bank with everyone, for everyone. Our amazing community suggests features, test the app and give us constant feedback so we can build something everyone loves.
We're focused on solving problems, rather than selling financial products. We want to make the world a better place and change people's lives through Monzo.
About our Treasury Data Team:
We're looking for a Data Analyst to join Monzo’s growing, high performing Treasury Data team. In this role, you’ll give support to Treasury in rolling out and embedding core elements of the treasury framework into scalable data assets so that we’re ready to support our business ambitions as we grow. You’ll be comfortable working within ambiguity, exploring problems and executing solutions.
You’ll cover a large scope of our finance data suite including Balance Sheet Management, Treasury Markets and KRI reporting.
Your day-to-day
- Work closely with the Treasury, wider Finance Data team and other stakeholders to understand our data and support Treasury projects as Monzo grows.
- You will sit at the intersection of Treasury and Data and will help to translate Treasury problems into data solutions
- Assisting in the implementation of our Treasury systems and building the downstream reporting functionality from the system
- Use your commercial awareness to help understand and solve the problems with the greatest business impact
- Use your expertise to generate data insights to support the team to meet their goals
- Contributing to data across Monzo by sharing your insights, improving our core data pipelines and proactively spotting opportunities for applications of your work in other areas of the business
We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about understanding our business, customers and risks, who can communicate their findings clearly to business partners and can drive actions on top of insights.
You should apply if:
- What we’re doing here at Monzo excites you!
- You're impact driven and eager to have a real positive impact on the company, product, users and very importantly your colleagues as well
- You're commercially minded and can put numbers into business perspective
- You’re as comfortable getting hands-on as taking a step back and thinking strategically
- You delight in automating processes, building datasets and analysing data to support business decisions
- You're a team player whom your colleagues can rely on.
- You have solid grounding in SQL and preferably Python
- Experience working with interest rate risk, liquidity risk or financial systems is a bonus but not a must have
- Experience working with visualisation tools like Looker is preferable
