We are looking for a DevOps Core Engineer who will be responsible for designing and managing the infrastructure for hybrid-cloud deployments, ensuring system reliability at scale, and maintaining the application layer across public and private clouds. Your role will involve automating provisioning and configuration, developing and integrating infrastructure tools, and collaborating with product, QA, development, and IT teams to optimize workflows. 

What you’ll be spending your time on:

  • Design the infrastructure for hybrid-cloud deployments.

  •  

    Build reliable systems at scale.

  • Own, improve and pitch about production, stability and performance.

  • Maintain the application layer of our public cloud and private cloud.

  • Develop and integrate infrastructure tools in support of our production system.

  • Automate the Provisioning and configuration.

  • Work closely with product, QA, developers, and IT/operations departments to streamline their working methods.

  • As a core member of the team, you will participate in 'On-Call' duties on Payoneer production systems, working in non-conventional hours include weekends and holidays (from time to time).

Have you done this kind of stuff?  

  • At least 5 years of experience as DevOps Engineer\Cloud Infrastructure Engineer\Cloud Platform engineer\System Administrator in which several years includes expertise with running production workloads with Kubernetes. 
  • Ability to develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). 
  • Proven experience with API Gateway tools (Google Apigee or AWS Api gateway). 
  • Experience with Configuration Managements tools like Chef, Ansible or Puppet.
  • Proven Scripting capabilities: PowerShell/Bash/Python. 
  • Background in Windows and Linux administration in a large scale environments. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills. 
  • Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environments. 
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (such as: Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, LogicMonitor or similar). 
  • Proactive by nature; internal drive for excellence and improvement.

Not a must but a great advantage:

  • BS degree in computer science, computer engineering.
  • Experience with virtual environments such as VMware. 
  • Familiarity with event streaming and messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Storage and related infrastructure.  
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and source control management tools (e.g. Git & TFVC, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Artifactory, Proget etc...).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud Networking. 
  • Worked with certificate management products. 
  • Knowledge of content delivery over the open Internet concepts and technologies. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, load balancers, micro-segmentation & WAF platforms.
