Director - International Procurement ANZ
As Director for ANZ, you will report to the Head of Intl Strategic Procurement, and you will lead the category strategy, develop partnerships with key suppliers, act as the senior point of escalation, and drive process improvement initiatives across the category.
We are looking for an ambitious, confident, entrepreneurial and high-spirited procurement professional with both the analytical and soft skills to tackle tough challenges and work with suppliers in our procurement process, specifically for greenhouse vegetables.
You will…
- Lead the strategic procurement team for ANZ.
- Support the development and optimization our supplier network across our Australia/New Zealand region
- Work closely with the international category leaders (HO PTN & DAI, HO PHF, HO Groceries, HO Sourcing & New Products, and HO Indirects) to shape the category strategies for the region.
- Work with key suppliers to ensure on-time, on-spec deliveries or discuss shortages/missed deliveries for ingredient and packaging products
- Support the expansion of our supplier relationships with strategic partnerships with market leaders in the respective categories.
- Oversee cost reporting, invoice validation and supplier database maintenance
- Manage escalations on-the-go in a fast-paced environment related to procurement
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as culinary teams, supply chain teams, and operations teams to improve workings between Procurement and other teams
- Create ongoing data analysis & category reviews to drive performance strategically within the greenhouse vegetables categories and achieve ambitious targets
- Support process improvement initiatives across the categories, leveraging various Procurement levers, optimizing and standardizing cross-category where possible
- Lead and influence a variety of stakeholders within the business specifically for procurement
You have/are…
- Preferably knowledge and interest in food
- Masters degree in Supply Chain / Procurement / Business (or equivalent)
- Ideally working within a similar environment and sector (FMCG/Consumer goods)
- 10+ years of strategic procurement / supply chain / commercial consulting experience, (ideally in food, but not a must)
- Experience in leading a diverse and high-performing team
- Prove track record of building strong supplier relationships
- Extensive experience in setting a category strategy and driving continuous improvements within a category
- Quantitative and analytical experience, including solid comfort with Excel
- Proactive, flexible, ambitious, and assertive: you take ownership of your work
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Entrepreneurial and can make things happen, sense of urgency
