About the job

Reporting directly to the VP EMEA Marketing you will lead a team, work closely with the regional go-to-market (GTM) leaders to develop and deliver marketing strategies and plans aligned with the GTM and revenue goals. 

 

Your plans will align with cross functional teams within marketing (Campaigns, Performance Marketing, PR, Partner) with an emphasis on account-based marketing and demand generation. In addition you will assume cross functional leadership for one or more of the business unit marketing plans.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead and inspire a team of regional field marketers, programs and event specialists and form part of the regional marketing leadership team. 
  • Spearhead account based marketing and executive programs that are aligned with go-to-market goals.
  • Own all execution / operational results and deliver on Demand Generation pipeline & ACV goals.
  • Build strong cross-functional alignment to drive success with field sales, SDRs, customers success, partner and services teams. 
  • Take responsibility for regional events, from concept and audience targeting to execution, including tradeshows, Twilio’s participation at third-party events, virtual event programs and corporate hospitality.
  • Track data and insights around customer acquisition, upsell, cross-sell and retention establishing a clear ROI across all programs & tactics. 
  • Deep dive into metrics to identify root cause, determine improvements, and follow through with action-oriented insights.
  • Translate recommendations to results by executing on action plans and program managing as needed to deliver improvements to senior leadership. 
  • Effectively manage and account for your annual marketing budget.

Required

Twilio is looking for a leader who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of leading marketing programs.  They also have:

  • Proven marketing leadership experience in a business to business (B2B) environment in the cloud, SaaS, or enterprise software (within CPaaS or contact center technology a plus).
  • 10+years field marketing experience and demonstrated success in a successful SaaS marketing team within a global matrixed organization.
  • Depth of knowledge and experience effectively crafting and running demand generation strategies, working closely with Sales, SDR and Product Marketing leadership.
  • At least 2 years of experience focused on account based marketing (ABM) including building strategy, managing media, sales/marketing alignment, and working with ABM relevant software & analytics.
  • Experience in building and running campaigns with partners (ISV & SI partners).
  • Experience with content development efforts – research, whitepapers, blogs, web content, videos & sales enablement materials).
  • Self-starting, enthusiastic individual who is willing to take innovative approaches and responsibly for outcomes.
  • Accountable with a sense of urgency and bias for action, and capable of leading teams by influence.
  • Strong analytical skill set to identify insights and optimize execution of campaigns/programs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization.
  • Superb organization and project management skills and the capacity to manage multiple complex projects at once.
  • Fluency in English; any other European language (e.g. French, German, Spanish) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with data handling (SFDC, Looker, Tableau, Excel knowledge is required).

 

Desired:

  • Technically savvy and experience with the cloud, APIs, communications, enterprise software, devices, and mobility is a plus.
  • Experience in the Communication Platform as a Service (CPaaS) and/or Marketing Technology markets.
  • Growth minded with line of sight on long term strategies while impacting short term opportunities.
  • A high degree of business analytics and financial model acumen.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, MBA preferred.

 

Location

This role will be remote, and based in the UK. Approximately 30% travel is anticipated.
