Betsson Group is now looking for a Director of Data.

As the Director of Data, you will play a critical role in shaping our data-driven culture, fostering innovation, and driving the organization toward data excellence.  Your mission is to lead our data strategy and management efforts.

• Data Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and practices to ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Data Management: Oversee data collection, storage, and management, including data warehouses, databases, and data integration processes.
• Data Analytics: Drive data analytics and reporting initiatives, ensuring the availability of meaningful insights to support decision-making across the organization.
• Data Security: Implement robust data security measures to protect sensitive information and maintain data privacy.
• Data Innovation: Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing data team, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
• Vendor and Technology Management: Evaluate and select appropriate data management tools, technologies, and external vendors.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with data-related regulations such as GDPR or other industry-specific standards. Ensure we have state-of-the-art compliance reporting for regulated markets.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, department heads, and executives to understand data needs and provide solutions.

• Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience of min. 5 years as a Director of Data/Chief Data Officer or in a similar leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of data democratization and enabling data-driven organisation.
• Familiarity with data-related regulations and compliance.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and foster a data-driven culture.
