Enjoy leading engineering teams to create value for clients? You’ll lead a team of top-tier engineers and managers as well as be the point of contact for our client’s technical teams. You’ll define strategy and create processes to scale the impact of your teams, while working closely with the client. You possess the capability to push your team’s abilities in growing them individually and as a unit, while also remaining hands on yourself in determining the architecture and tools to be used in development. The right candidate for this role will be highly-organized and collaborative; with a passion for solving problems cross-functionally. But you won’t do it alone — you’ll have a collaborative cross-disciplinary team of developers, designers, product managers, and other engineers to support you.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Lead development of innovative, scalable technology solutions that measurably transform our digital capabilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with client technology leaders to help transform their technology
  • Make both technical and non-technical decisions and ensure that organizational policies and procedures are implemented and enforced
  • Directly manage and mentor a team of engineering leaders to broaden their skills, increase their day-to-day effectiveness, and ultimately grow their careers
  • Collaborate closely with data teams and manage the intersection of engineering and data 
  • Add to a culture that loves experimentation, agility, and intellectual curiosity
  • Champion modern engineering practices including CI/CD, DevOps methodology, and data-driven decision making
  • Define and track meaningful KPIs that demonstrate technology's impact on business outcomes
  • Drive a culture of experimentation and continuous learning, encouraging technical innovation that solves complex client challenges

What We're Looking For:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify opportunities, advocate for resources, and deliver impactful solutions
  • 5 years of experience leading front-end and back-end engineering teams and playing a role in evolving processes and workflows; experience managing remote or hybrid teams is a plus
  • Experience working with technical and non-technical clients both remotely and in person
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional delivery teams
  • Effective verbal/written and presentation skills with the ability to effectively present ideas/concepts to senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with public cloud offerings such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Familiarity with Marketing Technologies (CDP, Experience Optimization, Email, Analytics)
  • Experience with general software design and architecture so that you can guide teams to the right solutions, while avoiding common pitfalls 
  • A leader with the ability to cultivate technical talent, and encourage the creation of reusable, scalable code
  • Personal commitment to being great people to work with and for every day

 

Even Better:

  • Experience using AI to augment or accelerate the development lifecycle, such as agentic development, QA, or other automation
  • Experience with data engineering and data warehouse technologies 
  • Experience with architectural design, creating diagrams and communicating with stakeholders
  • Understand and know when to leverage various web services, software tools, and software architecture approaches to autonomously design scalable, maintainable, secure, and reusable solutions
  • Experience with test driven workflows to ensure high quality and continuous integration of software

Compensation

  • USA Compensation Range: $145,000 - 230,000 + Equity  *Note actual compensation is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
