We are now seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Product to lead our Data Platform team. As the Director of Product, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, development, and continuous enhancement of our data platform, which is the backbone of our organization's drive to create an interconnected HR solution, best-in-class customer experience and enable critical initiatives such as Workflow Automation and Customer Analytics. This role requires a deep understanding of data infrastructure, data engineering, analytics, and product management to deliver scalable, reliable, and cutting-edge data solutions.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Vision:

  • Develop and communicate a clear and compelling vision for the data platform aligned with the organization's overall product and business strategy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities for leveraging data assets to drive growth and innovation.

Product Development and Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to release, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data products and features.

  • Define product roadmaps, set priorities, and drive product enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business requirements.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to plan, design, and implement scalable data infrastructure, data pipelines, and data storage solutions.

  • Oversee the integration of data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data governance standards.

Data Strategy and Governance:

  • Collaborate with the broader PTech organisation to define data strategies, including data modeling, data security, and data privacy, to maintain a secure and compliant data ecosystem

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility while complying with relevant regulations

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

  • Provide guidance and support to the team in solving technical challenges and making strategic decisions

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, product managers, data scientists, and business leaders, to understand their needs and align data platform initiatives with business objectives.

  • Act as a spokesperson for the Data Platform team, communicating progress, challenges, and opportunities to relevant stakeholders.

Performance Measurement and Improvement:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the data platform and regularly assess performance against these metrics.

  • Implement strategies to improve the efficiency, scalability, and performance of data infrastructure and processes.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or relevant business degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in product management, data engineering, or related roles, with a focus on data platforms and solutions.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and delivering complex data projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, data governance, and data security principles.

  • Experience with big data technologies, cloud-based data platforms, and data warehousing solutions.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and results-oriented mindset.
