As Director of Product Design, you will drive the strategy and execution of innovative digital product experiences—from web platforms to mobile apps—that balance user needs with business objectives. You couple strong UX expertise with strategic thinking and creative leadership, architecting seamless, scalable solutions while leading and mentoring a collaborative design team.

You'll own the full product design lifecycle, from user research and information architecture through delivery of polished, high-fidelity experiences. Your role spans multiple projects and clients, requiring both hands-on design excellence and the ability to guide teams, communicate with stakeholders, and champion user-centered solutions in fast-paced and complex environments.

You Will:

  • Design and deliver holistic, user-centric digital systems, flows, and interfaces using research, wireframes, prototypes, and visual compositions
  • Drive product strategy and design solutions that address customer needs and business goals across digital channels
  • Lead and mentor product design teams, providing strategic guidance and fostering collaboration across design, development, and cross-functional partners
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions and clearly communicate design decisions, using data and insights to advocate for users while balancing business objectives
  • Own the design process for major initiatives and features, working with minimal oversight to bring your vision to life
  • Develop and monitor quality standards across all design artifacts and deliverables
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of design consistency
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and UX methodologies, continuously improving design processes and best practices
  • Contribute to business development, helping shape compelling pitches and presentations for new opportunities

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or related fields, with 3+ years in a leadership or director-level role
  • Deep expertise in user-centered design processes, including research, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design process, creative problem-solving, and results across digital platforms (web and/or app)
  • Strong proficiency with Figma 
  • Solid understanding of front-end development, design systems, and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and passion for building high-performing, collaborative teams
  • Adaptability in fast-paced environments with a forward-thinking approach to design challenges

Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a number of factors that include, but aren’t limited to, a candidate’s experience and skills relative to the scope and responsibilities of the position. For current CM employees, tenure will also be a consideration.Salary Range$130,000—$140,000 CAD
