Director, Site Merchandising
Our Opportunity
Chewy is looking for a Director to lead our Site Merchandising Team for Chewy.com. This leader will help create a ‘best-in-class’ shopping experience for customers, lead site wide events, and elevate the performance of our site and our understanding of customers. The ideal candidate will have retail and/or e-commerce experience, and will be a data-driven leader, who is comfortable working and influencing cross-functionally. The leader will have a clear point of view, but be flexible enough to pivot as needed based on shifting landscape and business demands.
This role would be based in Bellevue WA, Boston MA, or Fort Lauderdale, FL.
What you'll do:
- Create a “best-in-class” shopping experience on Chewy
- Direct a team as they execute category specific site merchandising optimizations, determining the attribute structure, navigation pathways and landing experiences to best drive product discoverability and presentation
- Build business cases to support product resourcing requests for high value website functionality
- Utilize web analytics and data to guide ongoing improvements and optimize site merchandising tools to drive category traffic and increase conversion
- Lead a team of site merchandisers
What you'll need:
- College degree in business-related field
- 15+ years work experience, with 2+ years in ecommerce
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally
- Demonstrate a data-driven approach to problem solving and prioritization
- Ability to think ahead and set plans in motion for future growth needs
Bonus:
- MBA
- Experience in e-commerce back-end operations and Google Analytics
- Familiarity with SQL
Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary range for a Director, Site Merchandising position is $180,500.00 - $288,500.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
