Lyft is looking for an Employment Legal Compliance Specialist to join its Legal Team!  You will work closely with Lyft’s in-house Employment Legal team and its People/HR team to ensure Lyft’s compliance with various federal, state, and local employment laws. In particular, this role will focus on ensuring that all reporting obligations are fulfilled. Responsibilities:

Under the direction of and with the assistance of legal counsel: 

  • Develop, project manage, and execute Lyft’s Affirmative Action Program (“AAP”) and Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”) Compliance. 
  • Comply with AAP, EEO-1, and other applicable data collection and recordkeeping requirements.  
  • Respond to and manage audits and compliance reviews from the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (“OFCCP”) and other government agencies.
  • Monitor federal, state, and local employment reporting requirements and update operational protocols to ensure compliance.   
  • Monitor federal, state and local employment laws to ensure compliance.  
  • Manage requests from employees to engage in outside business activities.
  • Develop and manage annual employee compliance training, including partnering with People team, Legal team and outside vendors to implement, create content, track completion records, and more. 
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the below areas. 
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working in Human Resources/Employment Compliance 
  • Experience developing and managing AAPs, EEO-1 and other legally required reports  is required for this role. 
  • Experience responding to OFCCP audits is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in developing HR policies, procedures, and government contracting company compliance training programs. 
  • Experience in creating and managing employee compliance training.  
  • Experience in working with HR data and analytics. 
  • International employment compliance experience is a plus! 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to quickly analyze data. 
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear and easily understood way. 
  • Proficiency working in a Mac environment, and specifically with Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.), Dropbox, Excel, Outlook, and Word.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $104,000 - $130,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
