We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and proven leadership skills. You will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the execution of our product area roadmap, managing capacity planning, risk assessment, and providing regular updates on progress. You will also be expected to step in as a technical contributor when necessary.

Product Area Roadmap Execution:

• Support and oversee the development teams towards effective and productive execution of the product area roadmap.
• Manage capacity planning to ensure successful execution of the product area roadmap.
• Conduct risk assessment and management related to the roadmap execution.
• Provide regular updates on the progress of programs assigned to the engineering teams.
• Step in as a technical contributor if necessary.

People Management:

• Coach and mentor specialists within the team.
• Regularly share relevant external information with the team to foster growth and learning.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meeting with all direct reports.
• Manage the training and development needs of direct reports.
• Follow Syncron guidelines on people processes for all direct reports (Performance Reviews, Talent Reviews, Promotions, Compensation Reviews, etc.).
• Perform formal management duties for all reports, including approving absences and expense reports.
• Handle the on- and offboarding processes for direct reports.
• Proactively participate in recruitment processes to attract top talent.

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong technical background with expertise in Java, Spring, Hibernate, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to step in as a technical contributor when needed.
• Experience with capacity planning, risk management, and roadmap execution.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
