Our Regional Marketing team is the most distributed of all the marketing teams at Elastic, with the highest mix of nationalities and cultural backgrounds. Our group drives tailored and innovative marketing programs to drive awareness and pipeline.

As the Event Manager for AMER, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management and execution of large-scale events, ensuring they are delivered seamlessly and exceed client expectations. You will work closely with internal partners, external vendors, local regional Marketing teams, and clients to conceptualize, plan, and implement events that align with our company's objectives and brand identity. Additionally, you will own pipeline goals, driving event-driven leads and conversions.

The Events Manager AMER, will be part of the excellent AMER Regional Marketing team as well as the global events team and will report to the Senior Manager of AMER Regional Marketing Programs. What You Will Be Doing:
  • Event Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and strategies to ensure the successful execution of large-scale events across the AMER region.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their objectives, and translating them into innovative event concepts and experiences.
  • Budget Management: Lead event budgets optimally, ensuring all expenses are supervised, monitored, and reconciled to meet financial targets.
  • Vendor Management: Source, negotiate with, and manage relationships with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure the vital resources for each event.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, transportation, catering, audiovisual equipment, and on-site staffing.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them, ensuring events are driven safely and successfully.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of each event, capture feedback from team members, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Pipeline Goals: Own pipeline goals, driving event-driven leads and conversions in alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with Local Marketing Teams: Work closely with local regional Marketing teams to ensure events are aligned with marketing strategies and initiatives.
What You Bring Along:
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Shown experience in event management, with a focus on planning and performing large-scale events.
  • Experience working in the B2B Enterprise tech/software space, preferably in open source, big data, cloud, saas and analytics, would be ideal.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools e.g., Cvent as well as SFDC, Google suite, etc.
  • Strategic problem solver as well as hands-on execution
  • Flexibility to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as the need arises by event schedules.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
