As a Field Solutions Marketing Director, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Sales Enablement, Product, Product Marketing, and Marketing, to ensure our go-to-market strategy aligns with our overall business objectives.

The mission: As an FSM Director, your mission is to inform, inspire, and delight companies to use Okta as the identity provider for their internal and consumer-facing apps.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Make our messaging and value proposition compelling to specific markets, with a focus on companies in the Enterprise & Strategic segments
  • Build out demand marketing programs that scale to global markets, and measure the efficacy of those programs 
  • Build, improve, and deliver content for demand generation. Curate our content library for demand generation activities and scale great content for diverse segments, geos, and needs
  • Provide marketing advisory to demand gen leaders — global and specific segments — in marketing tactics and experiments to expand demand
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our field and solutions marketing efforts, including pipeline generation, revenue impact, and ROI
  • Develop and execute field marketing plans that drive quality pipeline growth and revenue for our core sales segments, including events, webinars, cross-sell and up-sell integrated campaigns, content marketing, and account-based marketing programs

What you will bring:

  • 8+ years of combined experience in tech practitioner roles (i.e. Sales Engineering, Technical Consultant) or go-to-market roles (Product Marketing Manager, Technical Marketing Manager).
  • Have a portfolio of presentations and written content in multiple formats/channels (i.e. blog, presentations, webinars, email sequences, etc)
  • Experience in the identity, developer, or dev infrastructure space
  • Track record shaping messaging for small and medium organizations
  • Proven ability to engage with technical and business audiences alike, building empathy, understanding their unique challenges and motivations, and demonstrating the value of our products.
  • A problem-solver mentality, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful field solutions, or product marketing programs that drive revenue and pipeline growth
  • Proven track record and success in testing and scaling digital marketing channels like email, blog, sponsored newsletters, influencer marketing

Extra points if you have: 

  • Experience in both tech practitioner and go-to-market roles
  • Track record shaping messaging for organizations with different needs, sizes, and geos
  • Experience with product-led growth and growth hacking, with hot takes on B2B and B2C marketing strategies
  • Proven track record and success in testing and scaling digital marketing channels like email, blog and sponsored newsletters
  • Worked in SaaS companies that sell to CPOs/CTOs and Chief Digital Officers (CDOs)
  • Passion, energy, and curiosity to learn fast, experiment, and drive positive changes.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$174,000—$262,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $195,000—$293,000 USD
