The role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance & Strategy team based in our Singapore office. The Finance Manager will help solve the most critical problems for the business using strategic financial analysis to shape our strategy to grow our market share whilst achieving our financial targets. They will take a company-wide perspective and work across all teams and functions to execute projects and initiatives, build frameworks and support the implementation of high impact projects. They must have excellent personal and communication skills and be able to build cross-functional relationships with key senior stakeholders and teams (in Singapore and London) to achieve goals, while enforcing accountability. 

This is a unique opportunity for a problem solver and strategic thinker to help create and shape the strategy and decision making in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and ever-changing environment. This role is designed to be high impact and will see you lend support to all teams, playing the role of an internal strategy consultant for individual teams as well as synthesising views to create a coherent overall strategy. We are looking for a critical thinker to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive our commercial business decisions & lead key projects. You will be instrumental in identifying opportunities to improve our operating model and in designing pragmatic solutions to the challenges we face.

You will be working in the Finance & Strategy team with significant exposure to the Leadership Team and key HQ stakeholders. You will work closely with the local functional teams (commercial, operations, marketing, etc.) as well as Central Finance teams.

 

What you'll be doing:

You will interact with the HQ teams and functional departments in Singapore to implement financial control, drive efficiency, and provide strategic support. Responsibilities include: 

  • Support the F&S Senior Manager, Head of Business Strategy and leadership team with the annual budgeting process as well as creating executive/board materials
  • Collaborate with team to lead the monthly and quarterly forecasts as well as ongoing KPI tracking/pacing, including functional targets
  • Lead the monthly review process including reviewing financial performance, managing risks, and identifying new opportunities 
  • Conduct financial analysis to inform our strategy and investment decisions
  • Manage cross-functional projects to drive business/operational efficiencies
  • Understanding and influencing the underlying drivers of performance to help drive the top and bottom line
  • Drive both the qualitative and quantitative analysis to help design and execute the right strategies 

 

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of relative work experience; strong candidates with less experience will be considered for an Associate role
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis
  • Advanced excel and powerpoint skills; SQL would be a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of managing complex projects with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Ability to sniff out, chase and proactively solve complex problems without much guidance
