Job Description

As Team Lead (Chartered Accountant) at Wayfair Bangalore TDC, you will be responsible for ensuring overall compliance with corporate accounting policies, tax reporting, and management reporting. Key responsibilities include:

  • Review/supervision of month-close reports and owning the book close process, including compliance with global routines.
  • Playing the role of SPOC for coordination of Internal audit, IFC audit, Statutory auditors and ensuring their timely closure.
  • Ownership of all tax compliances, regulatory filings applicable to the company.
  • Ownership of financial statements, schedules etc. for year-end statutory audit. Ensuring compliance with Indian GAAP.
  • Proactively tracking income tax, GST, other regulatory notices/amendments applicable to the company, with support from external tax consultants.
  • Provide accounting guidance and support the team in their daily activities.
  • Supervising the day-to-day operations and activities of the team
  • Supporting Head Finance with ad-hoc compliances/stakeholder requests.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting deck, sharing insights for the leadership team.
  • Preparing the cashflow forecast file, always ensure adequate liquidity at the TDC center.
  • Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by the Senior Leadership Team
  • Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX (IFC) compliance and financial procedures.
  • Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparation of management reports, tracking of budget vs actuals for operating expenses. Preparing monthly dashboards for senior leadership team reviews.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams for review and closure of payroll payment
  • Review and approval of employee expense re-imbursements and ensure compliance with company’s policies.

We are a Match because:

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with work experience of 5-7 years of post-qualification in Corporate Finance/Accounting/Controllers function of a company, preferably in an MNC/GCC environment.

  • Strong accounting/finance and tax compliance knowledge
  • Prior experience of handling Big 4 audit preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
