Financial Reporting Manager

Lyft is looking to hire a qualified and experienced Financial Reporting Manager, to its Accounting team. This is a crucial role that will assist in overseeing financial reporting in a fast paced, public company environment. This role will support the Director, SEC Reporting, and work cross functionally with accounting, legal, FP&A and other stakeholders across the organization, to deliver timely internal and external reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and other required reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP, including tie outs
- Prepare and review the statement of the cash flows and various supporting schedules
- Prepare and review various internal financial reporting schedules and reports, including Non-GAAP reconciliations and bridges from GAAP to Non-GAAP
- Collaborate with various departments, including Legal, FP&A, Investor Relations, and Corporate Communications, to gather necessary information for SEC filings
- Complete disclosure checklists to ensure all disclosure requirements are met; research disclosure requirements and keep abreast of new pronouncements impacting disclosures; establish a repository of internal practices and peer company disclosures
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and other financial communications
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls as it pertains to financial reporting and equity
- Assist in various ongoing and ad-hoc projects or initiatives as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA preferred
- 6+ years of experience in accounting; including Big 4 public accounting experience and experience with financial reporting in a public company
- Well versed in the statement of cash flow preparation and requirements
- Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, GAAP, and financial reporting standards
- Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Workiva and XBRL experience preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are a must
- Accounting research and problem solving skills required
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid
The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $128,000-$160,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
