Financial Systems Analyst

Position Description:
The Financial Systems team supports the Corporate Accounting department through the development, implementation and administration of the department’s financial systems. The Financial Systems team acts as a liaison between the Accounting, Finance, IT and Internal Audit departments to help meet StepStone Group’s company-wide initiatives related to client service, financial reporting and compliance.
The Financial Systems Analyst will be an integral member of the Financial Systems team and will be responsible for assisting the Financial Systems Senior Manager and Financial Systems Managing Director with financial systems maintenance, project management, compliance documentation and technical support. This role is an opportunity to support the Corporate Accounting leadership’s objectives of gaining efficiencies through the effective utilization of the organization’s financial systems. The Financial Systems Analyst will report to the Financial Systems Senior Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform daily maintenance duties of financial systems, including NetSuite, Concur and Blackline
- Provide or facilitate the proper technical support to financial systems end-users
- Document processes, projects, testing results and audit requirements with comprehensive detail
- Coordinate with financial systems end-users to identify problems and assist in crafting solutions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes within the Financial Systems team
- Ensure established controls related to financial systems are followed individually and team-wide
- Effectively track and monitor support tickets with outside consultants and support teams
- Review and analyze financial system data changes, user access and application settings
- Create tailored custom reports that meet the individual needs of financial systems end-users
- Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, preferably including coursework in information technology
- CPA preferred
- 2-5 years of relevant financial systems experience
- Prior experience working with multiple entities, global offices, and foreign currencies preferred
- Prior experience working with an ERP system, preferably NetSuite
- Prior experience working in a client-service environment
- Basic Excel experience with a track record of analyzing and summarizing large sets of data
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Desire to learn and master new financial systems

- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Salary Range - $65,000 - $78,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
