The Accountant in Dublin is a member of the corporate accounting team and supports the general day-to-day accounting for the company, with a focus on StepStone Group’s Private Debt entity, a subsidiary of StepStone Group LP

Essential Job Functions:

The position requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and team-oriented individual who is comfortable performing a variety of administrator functions in various corporate accounting software. 

Specific duties include:

  • Assist with completion of  monthly account reconciliations for StepStone Group Private Debt including: manage and reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, deposits, and lease schedules, among other areas.
  • Reconcile intercompany account balances
    • Support monthly and quarterly invoicing of intercompany and intracompany balances
  • Assist with multi-currency treasury activities, including but not limited to:
    • Prepare wires and payment batches
    • Monitor and reconcile cash balances
  • Prepare and enter journal entries to support month-end activities
  • Review, Process,and record vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements
  • Ensure compliance within SOX environment
  • Assist with continuous process improvements
  • Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate
  • Assist with central bank reporting

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Three to five years of professional accounting experience
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA or CPA is a plus
  • Prior experience working with multiple entities, global offices and foreign currencies preferred

Other Desired Skills/Attributes:

  • General knowledge of GAAP (IFRS and US GAAP) and financial reporting concepts
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of client, investment, and company information
  • Acute attention to accuracy and detail
  • Effective communication skills and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize activities while working on multiple projects and achieve target deadlines
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office programs
  • Ability to learn and effectively use new programs, Oracle- NetSuite, Concur, and Blackline experience a plus
