The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This position is located in Munich. 

It’s time to bring your best and make your mark. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to assume the role of General Manager for our company restaurant - Personio Kitchen & Bar. As the General Manager PKB, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our restaurant's operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, financial success, and the continued growth of our brand. This position requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in restaurant management and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the overall strategic vision for the restaurant.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the kitchen and service, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless and efficient workflows.
  • Seek to improve and manage the daily operations with cutting edge restaurant technology.
  • Implement and enforce quality standards, health and safety regulations, and compliance with relevant laws.
Budget and Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, closely monitoring financial performance and identifying areas for improvement and or cost savings.
  • Implement cost control measures without compromising service quality.
  • Negotiate reduced pricing structures with suppliers.
Customer Experience:
  • Champion a customer-centric approach, driving initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Work closely with the service team to maintain high service standards and resolve customer issues effectively.
Team Development:
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth, including potential partnerships, expansions, and new revenue streams.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competition, adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate to develop and execute effective marketing strategies to drive increase in business (more customers), as well as retention.
  • Ensure the restaurant's brand image is consistently reflected in all aspects of the operation (Kiosk and Restaurant)

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a General Manager for a minimum of 5 years or in a similar leadership role within the restaurant industry.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of successful financial management.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including kitchen and front-of-house management.
  • Exceptional communication in German and English and decision-making abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • A master's degree is a plus.
