YOUR MISSION
Our Strategy team at Glovo is a small, high-performing team comprised of a diverse range of backgrounds including ex-consultants, investment bankers, corporate strategy experts and entrepreneurs.
As a member of the global strategy team, you will play a key role in shaping Glovo’s strategy as well as developing and implementing a number of critical strategic projects across the business to support growth and success of the organization. You will work closely with the executive team and other senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and growth, and develop actionable plans to capitalize on these opportunities.
THE JOURNEY
- Work directly on Glovo’s company strategy, helping to define and map out a path to achieving our vision and ambition
- Lead key strategic projects, where you will support senior stakeholders across the business to crack a number of diverse and highly demanding problems. Previous examples include supporting the launch of a rapidly growing B2B business, developing and running due diligence on M&A opportunities, owning the implementation of Generative AI, developing our dark kitchens strategy, developing an approach to food waste and much more.
- Evaluate (and sometimes test) new business concepts, aligned to achieving our strategic priorities. Become an expert in new categories and drive the thinking within the business on new verticals, define the why, how, and then go and test it. Previous examples include launching micro-mobility, ingredient procurement, restaurant software and technology, fintech products, food waste models and many more
- Support the team to analyze market intelligence and predict industry activity and implications for Glovo. Continue to build out our robust competitor intelligence framework and data tracking to ensure added insight with each iteration
- Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- Highly strategic and a structured thinker: you know how to structure, break down and analyse problems to solve them at their root
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driven by results: you are joining a highly dynamic, fast paced and rapidly evolving industry, you need to be comfortable taking difficult and ambiguous problems and turning them into real, implementable solutions at pace
- An owner with an entrepreneurial mindset: you own your work, your results and everything in between and you know how to roll your sleeves up and creatively problem solve your way out of issues.
- Keen interest in tech, platform businesses and last mile logistics
- Tertiary qualification in business, finance, economics, STEM or similar
- 1-3 years of experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy and/ or a fast paced analytical role in a high growth environment
- Demonstrated experience in leading the structuring and solving of complex problems (Defining the scope of a problem, breaking it down into logical components, executing high quality quantitative and qualitative analysis and developing key insights)
- A track record of delivering practical recommendations and translating them into action and results
- You can prioritise effectively as well as lead multiple project workstreams concurrently and independently
- Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders (including senior leadership) across any department in Glovo, defining value, scope & deliverables, effectively integrating their inputs, adequately managing their expectations, and building trust.
- You have strong communication skills and are able to articulate complex concepts in a simple and structured way (both written and orally)
- You spot opportunities to make things better and take ownership over them
- Intermediate SQL skills, plus G-suite proficiency (sheets, slides) preferred
