Graphic Designer / Art Director / 360 Designer  

Type: permanent 

Location:Cologne, Germany (hybrid - 2 days per week from the office)

 

ROLE MISSION

We are a global advertising agency specialized in building and running dedicated ("in-house") creative teams for our clients!

Join our creative team in Cologne to create digital, print and social content for our client - one of the largest alcoholic beverage companies in the world!

This global leader in wine and spirits will be one of the biggest accounts in OLIVER with 12 hubs internationally and more than 100 team members globally. The work produced will be published across a range of media in all the markets serviced by the hub.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

Working in partnership with our client, you will take digital, print and social content projects from brief to completion. This role will provide new ideas and creativity whilst working closely with the client’s brand guidelines and will manage the day-to-day running of projects, working within specified time-frames and budgets.

Day to day tasks:

  • Producing design / ideas to the client’s brief and exacting standards from the outset until completion 
  • Positively influencing clients with creative input in addition to undertaking and pitching new creative concepts  
  • Create inspiring and exciting content – from repurposing, reformatting of assets to ideation 
  • Keenly evaluate and monitor industry trends and brands, research industry developments in branding and marketing to be at the forefront of creative excellence 
  • Work across multiple products/brands

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in: Digital, Motion Graphics, Web Design, UX-UI, Artwork, Production  
  • Fluency in English and German
  • An innate creative flair, strong art direction and concepting skills – full of ideas across multi-platforms 
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Strong typography, layout and technical skills with excellent attention to detail 
  • An understanding how to work across online banners (static and animated), social media posts (primarily Instagram and Facebook), web design, UI design and storytelling 
  • An understanding of responsive design across all digital platforms 
  • An understanding of UX and latest Social and Digital technology trends 
  • (optional) Motion and video skills using After Effects & Premiere. Storyboarding. Animation concepts.
  • Working on print-based collateral with great knowledge of branding 
  • The ability to talk through your ideas confidently with the team and clients
  • Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships 
  • Experience in food and beverage (wine and spirits) sector - bonus
